The avocado contains a lot of oil, 5 to 23 grams per 100 grams of flesh. The oil consists mainly of monounsaturated fat which is beneficial for cholestorol levels
Avocado has anti-aging properties due to its high level of antioxidants such as vitamin C and E.
The Hass variety is perhaps one of the most famous avocado varieties and is considered the best. The flavor is quite intense and the pulp is creamy, perfect for making guacamole.

Harvest time
Unlike other countries Ecuador can produce avocado all year round, with production and harvest peaks from February to March and from August to September.
