The yellow pitahaya is a pesticide-free crop. The fruit contains vitamin C and has digestive and anti-inflammatory properties. It is recommended to improve the immune system and increase the body’s defenses, it helps in the formation of tissues, bones, red blood cells and collagen.
The pitahaya was first discovered in the wild by the Spanish conquerors in Mexico, Colombia, Central America and the Antilles, who gave it the name “pitaya” which means scaly fruit.
There are red and yellow pitahayas, the yellow kind is much tastier and sweeter than the red one
